Mueller Small Living has been producing high-quality furniture for private and business customers in Bockhorn, Germany since 1869. The company stands for manufacturing expertise and they guarantee the professional production of furnishings and customized interior fittings.
Excellent design furniture
The own design collection was first presented in 1971 at the furniture fair in Cologne. Since then, new products have been created year after year in close cooperation with renowned designers such as Jan Armgardt, Rolf Heide, Michael Hilgers and Felix Stark. Many designs have been awarded national and international design prizes.
Our classic: the stacked bed
The most famous product is the unmistakable stacked bed designed by Rolf Heide in 1966. The modern classic made of plywood embodies the design concept of the company in a special way.
Our design philosophy
The design philosophy of Müller Möbelwerkstätten is derived from the German understanding of design and quality. Clear forms, meaningful functions and the renunciation of any fashionable short life are essential features of the products. The use of modern, unobtrusive materials such as aluminum and plywood, of course, also has an international character, as well as the concept of mobile living, for which, for example, the Konnex shelving system by designer Florian Gross, which was also awarded by the German Design Council.
MICRO-APARTMENTS
The name Müller stands for 150 years for intelligent interior solutions with clear form and high functionality. We deliberately view furniture as creative building blocks for modern Small Living: our aspiration is space-saving, flexibly usable or modularly expandable systems that create a lot of space for life even on a limited space!
Therefore, our focus is on clever objective solutions for student residences, hotel rooms and other micro-apartments.
We attach great importance to solid workmanship and durable material quality. The enthusiasm for craftsmanship and an eye for detail we have taken over from our founder Gerhard Wilhelm Oetken, who opened his own cabinetmaking in 1869 in Bockhorn, Friesland, and was commissioned at the end of the 19th century with the interiors of ships of the Imperial Navy in Wilhelmshaven.
The small manufactory has grown over five generations into a service-oriented family business. An important milestone was the year 1969: Since then we have been developing, producing and selling modern series furniture, designed by renowned designers exclusively for us. Many of them have been awarded national and international design prizes.
In order to produce as resource-saving as possible, we process only high-quality and durable materials and raw materials; including FSC-certified wood from exclusively FSC-certified suppliers who come from the region as far as possible. Alternatively we use birch veneer plywood, produced from fast growing stocks from Finland.

FOS Designs began representing Box Design in 2011, and added Radius Design shortly thereafter. The products we represent tend to be contemporary, unique, and fun.
